Sustainable Production & Consumption (SCP) in the EECCA Region |
Workshops are scheduled in Kyiv, Ukraine and Tbilisi, Georgia, 17-19 April 2007, to evaluate national and sub-regional progress in Eastern Europe and South Caucasus on SCP policy development following Kiev-2003 EfE decisions; support the European Environment Bureau EcoForum at the Belgrade 2007 Environment Ministers Conference and establish an NGO forum to track UN Commission on Sustainable Development SCP cross-cutting issues to 2010 and beyond, thus bringing the EECCA countries into the international SCP framework. In addition, demonstrating the sustainability and cost-effectiveness of video-conferencing. |

The overall purpose of the project is to improve biodiversity conservation and to promote ecosystem services provided by protected areas (PAs) through education, capacity building and sustainable tourism development in PAs in Russia. |

A conference and workshops scheduled in Mariupol,

and proposing new approaches to more effective environmental
management for sustainable development of the region. |
