'Women and Modern World', an NGO in Azerbaijan, is seeking partners for their project 'Forward To The Blue Revolution'. It says: "We aspire to create conditions in Azerbaijan for women in management and protection of water resources. Through our extensive research we have concluded that there is a necessity for practical action with active participation of women in all levels of the decision-making process. Especially, women should take active participation in development and realization of successful long-term water resource management for local residents. In particular, inhabitants of poor areas should be involved in creation of independent local systems of water distribution - on the basis of special agreements with water supply bodies or with the private organizations trading with water. Access to clean water promotes an increase in the level of household hygiene and improvement of health and general well-being. It is necessary to emphasize dissemination of knowledge of preventive measures against diseases during realization of programs in the field of water supply and health protection, and to explain to people the advantage of using clean water for personal hygiene and for household purposes."
